Beyond that, one can also use the reward point system built especially for McDonald’s customers that are allotted to each customer as per their previously placed orders or any special offers ongoing at the moment of purchase.

For self-service screens

What should I do if the blue checkmark does not appear?

In case the blue checkmark does not appear on your Google Pay app, that means the payment has failed and you would have to rescan the QR code and attempt to make the payment again.

What if I want to change, add, remove or edit my order after placement?

In such a case, contact the McDonald’s restaurant where your order is placed or the Customer Care Service and coordinate the details alongside them. Most of the time, once the order is finalised and payment is confirmed, you cannot edit your order. However, the order can be cancelled, and a new one can be placed – in such a case, the payment made for the previous order shall be refunded.

Can I redeem or use points for free McDonald’s while using Google Pay?

Yes, you can use your redeemed points or rewards during making any payment from your Google Pay account for McDonald’s. Just either let the restaurant know while placing your order or select such an option while placing an order at the self-service screen. The same can be done while using the McDonald’s app as well, but Google Pay cannot be used for the payment of any order placed through the app, as previously mentioned.
