Google, on the other hand, is a search engine as well as a provider of internet advertising. It was founded in 1998 by two Stanford University freshmen, Larry Page, and Sergey Brin. Even Google employees may not be able to name all of the company’s products and services in one sitting. The most well-known and used Google services are Gmail, Youtube, Docs, Photos, Calendar, Translate, and Google Play.

Alphabet owns Google. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two Stanford University computer science students, started Google in 1998. Google’s parent firm, Alphabet, Inc., is still in operation today. The firm’s subsidiaries include many familiar brands: YouTube (owned by Google itself), Android and Gmail (each owned by Alphabet), and more than a dozen others.
